Cute Dress

This pattern was purchased for my six year old granddaughter who wanted a dress with a sweetheart neckline. The beauty of the pattern is all different sizes are included. I have been sewing for over 50 years on many different kinds of patterns. If I had been an inexperienced seamstress, I would have found some of your directions for sewing the pieces together to be very confusing, especially the last steps. I did add the elastic casing to the back of the dress at the very beginning. Sewing it to the back at the end would have been a nightmare. The dress is very cute and fit my granddaughter perfectly. I plan to sew a few more dresses this summer.

It went together pretty quickly. My grand-daughter came to visit and forgot to bring a change of clothes, so I made this in a few hours. I think it is adorable. It is a little big on her, but she is growing so fast and it was in the fall, so should fit her perfectly when the warmer weather comes back.
