I made this in a red knit with Gold sequins for my granddaughter. She loved it. She twirls around whenever she is wearing it.

This dress is so cute! It was very easy to make and I'm gaining confidence in sewing with knits. The fabric I bought has girls riding bicycles on it and it is directional. Oops. I had to cut the fabric and turn one side around and make side seams in the circle skirt so the back wouldn't be totally upside down. It worked beautifully. I can't wait to make it again.

This is a great pattern! I'm really impressed with the quality of both the pattern and the finished piece, definitely a few steps above most out there. The construction is beautiful, and my girls LOVE their new dresses!
Materials Required
- A stable knit with only 2-way stretch and at least 30% stretch but no more than 70% is recommended for the bodice and bodice band to prevent sagging. The skirt can be made in 2 or 4-way stretch, light-weight knit fabrics. Woven fabrics are not recommended.
Also recommended:
- Walking foot
- Ballpoint or stretch needle
- Twin needle (optional)
