Back in March, I signed up to participate in the Design My Pattern contest hosted by the Betties Basket Facebook Group (If you're not a member yet, join!). Lots of sewist drew up ideas and submitted them for designers to pick. We as designers had no clue who had submitted what drawing. I happened to choose the pattern by the wonderful Melissa Malice of the blog Rebel & Malice. She was a tester for me on the Holiday Cutout Dress & Top, so I was excited to work with her again. Then, life got crazy. My youngest decided sleep was for the birds and thought the entire household should comply with that philosophy, and all designing got put on the back burner. It's now July, and I am thrilled that the pattern is finally ready for release!
The Rebel Girl Party Dress
The Rebel Girl Party Dress pattern features a fully lined pleated skirt and fitted bodice. But the real surprise is..
The back! I love fancy backs on patterns! They are one of my favorite things to design and sew. 
This pattern features more advance techniques such as understitching, an invisible zippered skirt, button back, and blind hem. As you may have seen from my recent tutorial on understitching, the stitching is not visible from the outside of the garment. Here's some more cute photos of my Isabella being two.
Notice the blind hem. *sigh* I am so in love with this dress!
